Education and Awareness

Julia’s Light Foundation is committed to sharing Julia's medical records with educational institutions, medical professionals, and nursing and pre-med students, so they can learn from Julia’s story. We will present at institutions and universities to help with training and professional development surrounding trial of labor after C-section, VBAC, and uterine rupture. A case study will be created to share with doctors and nurses.

We will advocate for mothers by ensuring that they are given all of the facts and information about risks related to VBAC, as well as warning signs of uterine rupture.

Supporting Parents Suffering from Loss

In 2018, we partnered with Hank's Hope to create the first community outreach event in Delaware, called The Wave of Light, to honor Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day on October 15. We will continue to grow and support this event as part of the mission of Julia's Light Foundation.

One in four women suffer the loss of a baby during pregnancy or infancy and need to be supported with kindness and love. So many mothers faced with this devastation feel alone.

We want parents to know their baby is remembered and matters.
